Ribeiro discusses vision for Independence Station on OPB’s Think Out Loud

Portland, Ore. – (May 28, 2009) – Steven Ribeiro, principal of Aldeia, LLC, and developer of Independence Station, was featured as the lead guest on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Think Out Loud program today. Ribeiro discussed plans at Independence Station, which he hopes will earn the highest LEED rating ever awarded to become the World’s Greenest Building when it opens next year. Additional guests included Jill Sherman, senior development manager at Gerding Edlen, the developer working on the Oregon Sustainability Center feasibility study; Dave Hewitt, executive director of the New Buildings Institute in Vancouver, Washington; and Nathan Good, owner and architect at Nathan Good Architects. The broader discussion focused on the future of green building and its potential for impacting the environment.
